What is the OMCQ Test?
The Orthopaedic Multiple Choice Question (OMCQ) Test is part of selection into the AOA 21 Training Program in Orthopaedic Surgery. It is a single paper of 50 questions, sat in 75 minutes and scored out of 100. There is no pass mark: your score is combined with your departmental referee report scores.
What does OMCQ Prep include?

Are the questions in the same format as the real test?

What topics are covered?
The four content areas AOA lists for the OMCQ: basic orthopaedic sciences, common orthopaedic conditions, surgical approaches and anatomy, and orthopaedic clinical examination. Questions are pitched at the level of an unaccredited registrar ready to start training.
Where does the syllabus come from?
AOA names the four content areas but does not publish a detailed syllabus. Ours is OMCQ Prep’s own outline of the knowledge those areas draw on, built from standard orthopaedic textbooks. It is not an official AOA document.
What is free, and what does Premium cost?
